WEST BROM

Peter Odemwingie could soon be offered an escape out of West Brom with both Cardiff and Fulham showing interest. Meanwhile, the Baggies' resolve over the player's value is being tested once more following reports that Al Nasr have made a new bid for the striker. An initial £850,000 deal was rejected, with Albion valuing the Nigeria international at £2 million. Al Nasr are believed to have increased their bid to £1.5 million.

Albion are reportedly weighing up a move for Celtic defender Efe Ambrose, with Crystal Palace also interested.

ASTON VILLA

Villa manager Paul Lambert plans to make Nuremburg's Japanese midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake his final summer signing. Villa's initial enquiry was rejected by last month. The club is looking to finance an improved bid but in order to do that must offload a string of high earners at Villa Park.
