Rob Edwards makes changes as Wolves face Liverpool balance ahead of big FA Cup clash
Rob Edwards and Wolves face a big week with back to back games against Liverpool in the Premier League and FA Cup.
On the back of their sensational derby victory over Aston Villa - the Wolves chief is keen for his side to keep up their momentum in the Premier League.
But then there is also the matter of a big FA Cup clash against the Reds at Molineux on Friday night - with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
Although it had been anticipated that Edwards would make changes - he insisted on Monday that he would not 'throw away a game', with the FA Cup in mind.
It was a balance Edwards had to strike - and he has done that by making four changes to the side for the league clash.
Three of those changes have come in the backline - with Matt Doherty recalled for only his second league start of 2026.
He comes into the backline alongside Ladislav Krejci - with Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera dropping to the bench.
Elsewhere, David Moller Wolfe comes into the side for Hugo Bueno - while Angel Gomes has been recalled in place of Jean Ricner-Bellegarde.
Wolves: Sa, Tchatchoua, Doherty, S Bueno, Krejci, Wolfe, Andre, J Gomes, A Gomes, Mane, Armstrong
Subs: Johnstone, Toti, Mosquera, Lima, H Bueno, R Gomes, Bellegarde, Hwang, Arokodare
