Deeney's big win at Walsall award

Newly crowned Walsall Player of the Season Troy Deeney was celebrating after picking up his gong.

The 14-goal striker beat Steve Jones, Manny Smith and Jamie Vincent to the title last night.

Troy, pictured with Jacky Ross from sponsors Thomas Cook, said: "It's a little bit of a surprise, I wasn't expecting it.

"My diet with Jon Whitney, the physio, has been the big difference for me this season."
