The Saddlers legend, who guided them to promotion in 1999 and 2001, was hired and eventually fired by Bonser in 2002.
The chairman has come under fire from fans but Graydon has backed his former boss.
He said: "As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best run clubs in football. I understand what every fan in the country wants and Walsall fans are no different – they want success.
"Jeff always has the club at heart."
Graydon will return to Walsall to receive his Walk of Stars award ahead of Saturday's game with Exeter. He was voted for by fans ahead of Alan Buckley, Mick Kearns and Jimmy Walker.
