Steve Jones and Sam Parkin netted in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Southend at the Banks's Stadium – Jones opening the scoring and Parkin scoring an injury-time penalty leveller.

Hutchings said: "At the death there was a lot of pressure on Sam to convert the penalty. It was so late on and we were down to 10 men.

"He grabbed the bull by the horns and stuck it in and I was really pleased for him.

"Jones could have had a second one which would have given us a bit of breathing space, but I was pleased with his contribution and it'll give him a lot of confidence."
