HP printer owners can grab up to nine months of free ink – but there’s just one week to claim it

New HP printer owners could pocket months of free ink, but there’s a seven-day deadline to sign up and claim the limited-time bonus.
Got a new HP printer? You could be sitting on months of free ink — but you’ll need to act fast.
HP is offering new printer owners the chance to get up to nine months of Instant Ink for free, with the promotion running until October 31, 2026.
There’s a catch, though. You have just seven days after setting up your printer to sign up for HP Instant Ink and claim the extra bonus.
The deal is aimed at customers whose new printers already come with an Instant Ink trial. By entering the promotional code SUMMER26UKI, eligible customers can add three extra free months to their existing trial.
That means someone whose printer includes six months of free Instant Ink could potentially stretch that offer to nine months without paying a penny.
How does HP Instant Ink work?
Rather than buying replacement cartridges whenever your ink runs out, Instant Ink works through a monthly subscription based on the number of pages you expect to print.
Your printer monitors its ink levels and automatically orders replacement cartridges when supplies are running low.
And there’s an unusual bonus: a full-colour photograph counts as one page, just like a basic black-and-white sheet. That could be particularly useful for families printing school projects, homework and photos.
But don’t assume the free period means the service is completely strings-free.
Instant Ink is a subscription, and customers will normally be charged once their promotional period finishes unless they cancel in time.
To claim the promotion, customers need to enter SUMMER26UKI in the “Promotional or PIN code” box during registration.
The offer officially ends at 11.59pm on October 31, 2026, but waiting until the final day could be risky if you have already passed the seven-day registration window.
