Wolverhampton traffic alert as two roads set for temporary closure

Motorists have been warned of the closures

Two roads in Wolverhampton will be temporarily closed this month as works take place in the city.

Fox’s Lane will remain closed in both directions at its junction with Fiveways Island until September 13 while National Grid work is carried out.

The bus lane on Stafford Road inbound, opposite West Street, is also closed. Drivers are being diverted via Stafford Street, Cannock Road, Cross Street North and Crown Street.

Meanwhile, Russell Street will be closed in both directions between September 7 and September 23 while DSS Civils carries out work.

The signed diversion will run via Zoar Street, Great Brickkiln Street and Graiseley Street, and in the opposite direction.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow diversion signs while the restrictions are in place.
