Four Black Country health and care services feature in latest CQC inspection reports

The CQC assesses providers against standards covering safety, effectiveness, responsiveness, care and leadership

Four inspection report entries relating to health and social care services in the Black Country have been published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The health and social care watchdog published 246 reports nationally during the week commencing Monday, October 19, including those relating to services in Wolverhampton and Walsall.

The latest figures show that two Wolverhampton care providers received good ratings, while a dental practice in Walsall was the subject of a focused inspection.

No services in Dudley or Sandwell were listed in the latest batch of reports.

In Wolverhampton, Eden Support Ltd retained a good rating, with its report published on Monday, October 19.

Rance Healthcare Services Ltd was also rated good, with its report published on Thursday, October 22.

Meanwhile, Aldridge House Dental Practice in Walsall featured in the latest publications following a focused inspection, with its report released on Friday, October 23.

Focused inspections examine particular aspects of a service rather than necessarily resulting in a new overall rating.

The CQC, which regulates health and adult social care services across England, assesses providers against standards covering safety, effectiveness, responsiveness, care and leadership.

Its inspection findings help patients, residents and their families make informed decisions about the services they use.

Across the country, the regulator published 246 reports during the week, although it stressed that not all relate to new inspections.

Some reports have been republished to include additional information about enforcement action which the watchdog is now legally permitted to make public.

The CQC said these additions provide further details about action taken against providers where concerns have been identified.

Members of the public can read the latest reports and check the ratings of individual providers by visiting www.cqc.org.uk.
