A Wolverhampton superstore which was left devastated by a car crash is set to be reopened to the public.
Lidl has confirmed that the store on Finchfield Hill will reopen on Saturday more than two weeks after the crash, which saw a Renault Zoe crash through the front door on Friday, October 23 after the driver, a woman in her 70s, was believed to have suffered a medical incident.

The incident saw James Singh Jagpal die at the scene, while another woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the interior of the store was a scene of devastation.
After the car was removed from the store, a cordon was put in place and work commenced to repair the store and ensure it was safe for the public to use.

The supermarket chain has now confirmed that all essential repair work and safety checks have been completed and offered a statement paying tribute to Mr Jagpal and thanking the community for their patience.
A spokesman for Lidl said: “Our deepest thoughts and sympathies remain with the family and loved ones of James Singh Jagpal following their devastating loss.

“We continue to do everything possible to support our colleagues during this difficult time, and we sincerely thank the local community for their patience and understanding."
