West Bromwich MP has her big day at town’s register office
West Bromwich MP Sarah Coombes is beginning married life after getting married at a ceremony in the town.
Miss Coombes, who was elected Labour MP for the constituency at the 2024 general election, tied the knot with Sanjan Sabherwal at the Sandwell Register Office.
"It was a beautiful day and we were so grateful to the team at the registry office in West Brom for making our big day special,” she told the Express & Star.
"I'd like to thank everyone who has sent such kind wishes to Sanjan and me. We’re excited for the next chapter of our lives together.”
After the ceremony the happy couple posed for pictures in the famous bandstand outside the register office at Highfields House in the town’s High Street.
It was back to Westminster for the MP after the weekend celebration, with Miss Coombes back in the Commons on Monday for a vote on the Health Bill.
