Watch: West Midlands twins prepare to brave first ever haircut for charity

The girls, who have knee‑length hair, will lose their long locks on July 25.

Seven‑year‑old twins Willow and Isla have never had their hair cut in their lives - but they are preparing to chop off their knee‑length hair for charity.

The sisters are set to lose at least 12 inches each on July 25 to raise funds for The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real‑hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment.

A fundraising event will be held on July 25 at Oscott Social Club in Erdington, where the little girls will lose their long locks while a host of activities take place throughout the day, including a bouncy castle, face painting, a raffle and of course food and drink will be available all day.

Willow said: “I'm going to give some of my hair to the poorly children, so they will be happy and smile.

“They don't have no hair.

“That's why I'm being kind to them, so I can give it to them, so they can be happy again.”

The idea was born last year, when Willow was sitting next to her mother scrolling through TikTok.

Mom Shaunah Henderson, from Chelmsley Wood, said: “It all started from a TikTok video.

“We were on TikTok one day scrolling and she's seen a little girl with no hair.

“That was it - then she asked all the questions and it went from there.

“She said I want to give my hair to the poorly children and I looked into it and this charity was fantastic.”

The twins were born three months premature and weighed just 1lb each when they came into the world, and now live with autism.

The family has launched a fundraising page to raise enough for two wigs to be created.
