Activity co-ordinator Deborah Phillips said: “The virtual bike ride was an idea we thought would work well as the men’s football World Cup is set to start soon.”

A charity car wash was also held at MHA Weston and Queensway House to raise funds for residents.

Fuse gym in the town lent the team exercise bikes for the challenge, which saw them clock up a total of 254 miles.

The two activities raised a total of £610, which will go towards trips and activities for residents.

Recently Weston and Queensway House hosted a visit from Cheshire Mobile Farm, where rabbits, chicken and sheep were brought into the home.
