All change on West Bromwich buses as work gets into gear at Dudley's Burnt Tree junction
West Bromwich bus passengers are facing changes to routes while major improvements are carried out at Dudley's Burnt Tree Junction.
Bus operator National Express West Midlands has rolled out details of the changes which will kick into gear from Sunday November 16.
To minimise delays for those travelling from Dudley, West Bromwich, Oldbury and Great Bridge, there will be some changes to services 74, 87 and 126.
The project is part of a larger scheme to improve the operation of the junction and will include the creation of new crossing points to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
During the works traffic restrictions will be in place including temporary traffic signals and lane restrictions in both directions.
Service 74
Daytime journeys will be split between Birmingham and Great Bridge and then West Bromwich and Dudley.
Customers travelling between Dudley and Great Bridge to between West Bromwich and Birmingham will need to change buses at either Great Bridge or West Bromwich.
Due to this split, a ‘transfer ticket’ will be introduced on this on this service only. This ticket will allow customers boarding on the 74 to change at either Great Bridge or West Bromwich to complete their regular journey without having to pay twice.

Services will run up to every 15 minutes between Great Bridge and Dudley; and up to every 5 minutes between West Bromwich and Birmingham.
There will be one journey every seven minutes between West Bromwich and Great Bridge.
Early morning and evening journeys will continue to run from Birmingham to Dudley.
Service 87
There will be timetable changes to add extra time to journeys to help cover delays due to the highway works.
Service 126
There will be timetable changes to add extra time to journeys between Causeway Green and Dudley to help cover delays due to the highway works.
There will be a route change whereby buses will use Regent Road, Oakham Road, Dixons Green Road, Hall Street, Trindle Road and Castle Hill in both directions.

It will be the largest road scheme on the junction since the former traffic island was removed in a scheme which ran from 2008 to 2011.
Commuters have been warned they face possible delays for up to nine months on the busy route through the Black Country.
The works were due to start this week at the junction on Sandwell-Dudley border with the aim of improving bus journey times and facilities for walkers and cyclists.
