West Midlands Metro have announced that the Metro line will not operate between Grand Central and Edgbaston Village in Birmingham on Wednesday between 7am and 4pm.

The tram operator said the closure was due to the procession through Birmingham and to allow the Osbourne family to visit the tributes of Sabbath Bridge on Broad Street.

A spokesman for West Midlands Metro said: "Due to the temporary closure of Broad Street to honour Ozzy, trams will not operate between Grand Central and Edgbaston Village from 7am until approximately 4pm on Wednesday, July 30.

"The temporary closure has been arranged to allow the Osbourne family to privately visit the tributes left on Sabbath Bridge, in honour of the late and legendary Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne.

"We appreciate your understanding during this temporary change to services."
