New Audi RS5 set to hit the road this summer as pricing announced

Performance plug-in hybrid will be available in Saloon and Avant specifications.
Audi’s new plug-in hybrid RS5 has gone on sale priced from £89,400.
Available in saloon and more practical Avant – or estate – bodystyles, the RS5 marks one of the first uses of Audi’s 2.9-litre V6 plug-in hybrid system.
Combined, the two generate 630bhp, an increase on the 450bhp developed in the previous-generation car. Audi says that this output allows the RS5 to manage 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds before it heads towards a 155mph top speed, or 177mph in top-spec Vorsprung cars.

Audi also claims that the RS5 will manage up to 52 miles of electric-only driving.
The RS5 will be available in three specifications in the UK – RS5, RS5 Carbon Black and RS5 performance Vorsprung.
Entry-level cars benefit from 20-inch alloy wheels and a full black styling package, affecting areas such as the spoiler, window trim and door handle inserts. The Matrix LED headlights also get a darkened finish/
Upgrade to Carbon Black and the RS5 gets larger 21-inch alloy wheels finished in grey matte paint, while a high gloss carbon finish is used on the rear spoiler and a variety of other components.

Reach the tip-top performance Vorsprung model and the RS5 gets larger air intakes and a redesigned rear diffuser, alongside matte black tailpipes. As well as being visually different to the exhaust on other specifications, this setup also enhances the RS5’s sound thanks to a sports exhaust upgrade.
Inside, all cars get a heated RS sport steering wheel and sport seats with massage and ventilation functions. All versions have an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit system alongside a 14.5-inch main infotainment display. A head-up display and 10.9-inch passenger screen come equipped on all cars, too.
The new Audi RS5 is available to order now, with prices starting at £89,400 for a saloon, or £91,300 for the Avant.
