'Thank you Wolverhampton' - Long queues outside highly-anticipated dessert shop as doors finally opened
A highly anticipated dessert shop in Wolverhampton has thanked locals after a huge turnout on opening day.
Dolce Desserts, which also has a store in Birmingham, opened its newest store on Broad Street, Wolverhampton at 3pm yesterday afternoon (January 23).
Crowds of locals were seen lining the streets for the grand opening and the chance to grab a 99p dessert and mocktails.
People were seen laughing and smiling as sweet treats were served for the event in a clip that has now gained more than 2,000 views and 100 likes on TikTok.
"Thank you Wolverhampton," they said as they filmed the crowd - and a parking warden who seemed dismayed by the vehicles outside.
In the clip, a member of staff urged people to "come down" to the "best place for desserts in Wolverhampton."
Google reviews have since been glowing for the newly opened shop - with a 4.9 star rating.
One user said: "Black Country needed Dolce, can’t wait to go again asap."
Another added: "Came here for the opening, what a great atmosphere, such a pretty desert shop, TikTok and Instagramable! I’ll be back again very soon, can’t wait."
While a third commented: "Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Thank you."
