Over 40 volunteers including Porsche Centre staff customers, friends and family cycled day and night in the dealership last month as part of the “Porsche, Pedals & Paws” charity challenge.

Spearheaded by Nicky Manton, Database Executive, the event saw volunteers take to the saddle, cycling the same distance as Wolverhampton to Stuttgart - the home of Porsche.

With an original challenge distance of 746 miles, the dedicated team eventually exceeded it, cycling 1074 miles in total.

The charity raised over £7,700 in vital funds for Brighter Days Rescue, a Staffordshire-based dog rescue organisation.

The three-day challenge saw staff, customers, and community supporters come together to collectively pedal around the clock as part of their charity commitment to animal welfare.

Brighter Days Rescue, based in Penkridge, Staffordshire, provides essential support to dogs whose owners can no longer care for them.

The charity also works closely with international rescue partners to help dogs with little or no chance of being rehomed in their home countries.

Ben Robinson, Head of Business at Porsche Centre Wolverhampton, said: “At Porsche Centre Wolverhampton, community and compassion are core to who we are, and this challenge brought all of this to life in a powerful way.

"Cycling over a thousand miles without leaving the showroom certainly demanded endurance, teamwork, and resilience. Our motivation never wavered, and every mile meant support for a dog on its journey to a safe and loving home.

“We have been overwhelmed by the response from colleagues, customers, and local supporters who joined us. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a success.”

The event brought together Stratstone customers, colleagues, and local animal lovers, who all united by a shared passion for making a difference.

Donations were collected via QR codes and in-showroom collection buckets, ensuring that every contribution directly benefits Brighter Days Rescue’s ongoing work.

Funds raised through the Stratstone team challenge will support veterinary care, rehabilitation, and rehoming for dogs both locally and abroad.

Edward Briscoe from Brighter Day Rescue, said: “We are extremely grateful and humbled by the effort and planning that has gone into this event we are overwhelmed.  There are so many more dogs that can now be helped and have better lives, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved and the donations received’
