Train lines blocked in Black Country due to emergency services dealing with 'incident'
Train lines in the Black Country were blocked tonight due to emergency services dealing with an incident.
Avanti West Coast posted on X at about 7.30pm: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Sandwell & Dudley and Wolverhampton all lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be delayed or diverted via Bescot Stadium. Sandwell & Dudley will not be served.

" Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on West Midlands Metro between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton in both directions until further notice."
CrossCountry Trains also posted on X: " Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Birmingham New Street - Wolverhampton, all lines are currently blocked. Services will be diverted. Wolverhampton will not be served until further notice."
The nature of the incident is not yet known.
