Wolverhampton road closure expected until Thursday as emergency water works continue

A Wolverhampton road closure is expected to remain in place for a number of days.

Wolverhampton Council has announced that a temporary road closure on Goldthorn Road, Wolverhampton, will remain closed as emergency water works continue.

The temporary road closure will take place between Penn Road and Goldthorn Hill, and is expected to be in place until Thursday (September 18).

A diversion route has been put into place for the road, with traffic now advised to follow Penn Road, Goldthorn Hill, and vice versa. 

A Wolverhampton Council spokesperson said: "Severn Trent Water emergency works mean a temporary road closure on Goldthorn Road, between its junction with Penn Road and Goldthorn Hill, expected until Thursday (September 18). 

"Diversion route: Penn Road, Goldthorn Hill and vice versa."
