Fast & Furious and Game of Thrones star heads to Wolverhampton to celebrate five years of community-led organisation born out of the city
The University of Wolverhampton welcomed Hollywood actress Nathalie Emmanuel to campus as part of a special celebration this month.
TNB Connect, the community-led organisation founded by alumnus Nate Ethan Watson, aims to uplift, empower, and connect the Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender-Diverse community across the UK and beyond.
They work to 'reduce isolation, improve mental wellbeing, alleviate gender dysphoria, and champion the authentic expression of every trans life.'
Nate Ethan Watson, who graduated in 2019 with a BSc (Hons) in Public Health, established TNB Connect to support and raise awareness for the trans and non-binary community.

The event, held at the University’s Students’ Union, reflected on the organisation’s journey, challenges, and achievements, while offering a powerful platform for community engagement and visibility.
A long-time friend of Nate’s and a passionate advocate for TNB Connect, Nathalie Emmanuel - best known for her roles in Fast & Furious and Game of Thrones - joined the celebration as a special guest and ambassador for the organisation.
She spent the afternoon engaging with guests, sharing her personal and professional experiences, and participating in an open Q&A session, followed by a meet-and-greet.
“We were honoured to host Nate and Nathalie on campus,” said David Wedge, Head of Alumni & Development. “We’re committed to celebrating our alumni and the meaningful work they do beyond graduation.”
