Organisers of major Wolverhampton music festival delighted at positive weekend as work begins to clear up site
The work has begun to clear away a festival site in the centre of a Wolverhampton park after a full weekend of fun and music.
The WV1Fest site in West Park had been a hub of activity over the weekend, with thousands of people watching 30 of the best tribute acts in the country across two stages, as well as enjoying food, drink and other festival activities.
The event, which was celebrating its 10th year in Wolverhampton, also saw a memorable tribute paid to Ozzy Osbourne on Saturday (August 9) where, following the completion of a set by Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne tribute act Ozzbest, the entire crowd barked at the moon for a minute.

It was a weekend of fun for all, with the weather playing its part by providing two days of sunny and warm weather and helping to attract more people out to enjoy the event.
Just 12 hours after the event ended on Sunday, the clean-up operation was underway, with crews seen disassembling the two stages, taking down the metal fences and clearing away the marquees and food stalls on Monday.

Organiser Jools Taylor from UK Tribute Festivals said it had felt like a special weekend and he was delighted by how things had gone.
He said: "It was an exceptional weekend, with probably a few more people than expected because of the weather and being the 10th anniversary of the festival, there was a big appetite for the festival and I think it went really well.

"I was also really pleased with how the memorial to Ozzy Osbourne had gone as everyone really got into it and got behind it.
"I'm taking a bit of a rest after this weekend, but I'm already beginning to look towards next year and we'll be back next year at the same time of the year and offering people as good a weekend as we possibly can."
