From Netherton to Oz: The Link Academy presents the The Wiz
After more than six months of preparation, The Link Academy in Netherton presented its production of The Wiz, involving more than 60 learners.

Netherton is famously linked with the Titanic, as workers at Noah Hingley and Sons forged its 16-ton anchor. It was drawn through the streets of the town by shire horses to Dudley's railway stations on its journey to the Belfast shipyard. A replica of this impressive feat of engineering now takes pride of place in the town centre. Netherton has undergone a regeneration in recent years with celebrations and festivals held in and around Netherton Arts Centre and Netherton Park.
