Jeep Avenger set to get firm’s ‘Seven Slot’ grille as part of a mid-life makeover

The compact crossover sits on Stellantis’ ‘STLA Small’ platform and is equipped with petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains.
Jeep is set to reveal an updated version of the Avenger compact crossover which will adopt the firm’s trademark ‘Seven Slot’ front grille.
The Avenger is Jeep’s smallest model and sits on Stellantis’ ‘STLA Small’ platform, shared with the Alfa Romeo Junior, Fiat 600, Peugeot 2008 and Vauxhall Mokka.
Details on the updated Avenger are limited at this stage, though the one image shows the car’s new ‘Seven Slot’ grille could be illuminated while there are slim LED daytime running lights.

There are no details or images of the car’s interior, but it’s anticipated to get tech upgrades and new materials.
Powertrain information hasn’t been revealed, though it’s likely to retain the same choices of petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains.
The petrol model is equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit that develops 98bhp and 205Nm of torque. The hybrid model uses the same engine, but is hooked up to a 48-volt battery and electric motor to produce 136bhp, while the electric model uses a 54kWh battery pack with an electric motor to make 154bhp and can travel a claimed 248 miles on a single charge.
Further details, images, powertrain figures, prices and UK availability will be revealed later this year.
