Geely adds flagship ‘Ultra’ variant to EX5 model line-up

The EX5 Ultra is equipped with a larger 68.39kWh battery that gives a claimed range of up to 280 miles.
Geely has added a new flagship variant to the EX5 electric SUV model line-up with the Ultra specification.
Geely is one of China’s largest car manufacturers and owns a large chunk of European brands such as Polestar, Volvo, Lotus and Smart.
The EX5 is Geely’s first model to arrive in the UK and now, it has added a range-topping Ultra variant which boasts a new 68.39kWh battery pack with an electric motor to deliver a claimed range of up to 280 miles between trips to the plug. Meanwhile, the EX5 with this setup has a towing capacity of up to 750kg.

In terms of performance, the EX5 Ultra can hit 60mph in 7.4 seconds and produces 320Nm of torque; however, a top speed figure has not been revealed for this new powertrain setup.
The Ultra trim gains additional kit compared to the mid-level Max specification, boasting extras such as a 13.8-inch head-up display, a 16-speaker FlyMe premium sound system, a powered tailgate, a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats with a massage function.
Other additions include a new paint colour of Rainforest Green, which is available across the EX5 range.
The Geely EX5 Ultra will go on sale on May 5 with prices starting at £38,990, while deliveries will commence later this year.
