As her politician boyfriend hit the campaign trail in Wolverhampton this afternoon, Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia hit the city centre shops.

After buying make-up from luxury cosmetics counter Mac in Beatties, Lembit Opik's fiancee tried on hairpieces and necklaces in New Look in the Mander Centre.

Clutching a Burberry bag, the 25-year-old left the shops at 1.30pm to meet up with the 43-year-old MP.

Dressed in grey pedal pushers and a brown leather jacket, the Transylvanian star went unnoticed as she browsed the rails chatting on her mobile phone.

Mr Opik told the Express & Star today: "Gabriela is on the retail trail while I'm on the campaign trail. She's hitting the shops and I'm sure she's having a good time."

Gabriela and her identical twin Monica found fame after auditioning for Popstars: The Rivals. Their infamous hit The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) peaked in the charts at number two but was later voted the worst pop record of all time in a Channel 4 poll. Lembit and Gabriela have just returned from a romantic holiday in Rome.
