Filming for Peaky Blinders rolls into town and closes waterways near Shropshire border

Filming for the Peaky Blinders film took place at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct near Chirk today, resulting in the closure of waterways and a public towpath.

Crowds gathered as a helicopter associated with the filming swooped and operated from above the Trevor Basin.

The area was cordoned off for what appears to be the production crew of Peaky Blinders.

Local business Rebel Dragon Designs documented some of the filming activities on Sunday morning and shared images and videos on social media capturing the event.
