Exactly where and when to see the Flying Scotsman in the Black Country this weekend
The full excursion is expected to cover around 144 miles
Rail enthusiasts will have the chance to see one of the world's most famous steam locomotives in the Black Country this weekend as the Flying Scotsman sets off on a special trip to Bristol.
The iconic locomotive is due to depart Stourbridge Junction on Saturday, September 19, taking passengers on a mainline journey to Bristol Temple Meads.
Those hoping to catch a glimpse of the Flying Scotsman can expect it to depart Stourbridge Junction at around 7.50am.

After making the journey south, it is scheduled to arrive at Bristol Temple Meads at approximately 10.50am.
The locomotive will make the return journey later that evening, departing Bristol Temple Meads at around 7.40pm before arriving back at Stourbridge Junction at approximately 10.30pm.
The timings mean enthusiasts in the Black Country have two opportunities to see the famous locomotive at Stourbridge Junction – in the early morning as it sets off for Bristol and again late in the evening when it returns.
Passengers making the trip will have almost nine hours of free time to explore Bristol before boarding the return service.
The full excursion is expected to cover around 144 miles, with money raised through ticket sales helping to keep the Flying Scotsman operating.
