Crowds of rail enthusiasts gathered in Stourbridge early on Saturday morning as the world-famous Flying Scotsman passed through the town on a special excursion to Bristol.
Keen locomotive fans travelled far and wide to the Black Country station to catch a glimpse of the famous train.

The iconic steam locomotive made its way through Stourbridge Junction shortly before 8am on Saturday, September 19, with enthusiasts lining the route to catch a glimpse of the historic engine as it headed south.
The locomotive departed Stourbridge Junction at around 7.50am, carrying passengers on a mainline journey to Bristol Temple Meads.
The special service is scheduled to arrive in Bristol at approximately 10.50am, giving passengers almost nine hours to explore the city before the return journey.

The Flying Scotsman is due to leave Bristol Temple Meads at around 7.40pm, with the return service expected to reach Stourbridge Junction at approximately 10.30pm.
Among those in line were 13-year-old Sam Ferguson from Leighton Buzzard who travelled to Stourbridge especially.

That means enthusiasts in the area will have another opportunity to see the locomotive later this evening as it makes its way back north.
The full excursion covers around 144 miles, with money raised through ticket sales helping to support the continued operation and preservation of the famous locomotive.

Tickets for the excursion were available in two main classes, with Traditional Class priced at £99 and First Class at £159.
Built at Doncaster Works in 1923, the Flying Scotsman has become one of Britain's best-known steam locomotives and is now part of the collection of the National Railway Museum.
