A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

Over in Coseley, more members of the team carried out another drugs warrant at an address on Cannon Park Way.

Cutting down the door to get access, a haul of suspected Class A drugs were found along with a large amount of cash and multiple mobile phones.

On closer inspection of the house the officers then uncovered a gun. It looked like a realistic gun but checks revealed it was an imitation firearm.

A man aged 36, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a firearm.

Both men remain in custody while investigations continue

A police spokesperson said: "Operation Advance is a force-wide initiative which takes place in each local policing area across the West Midlands throughout the year.

"Operations, enforcement activity, and community engagement events have all been planned to take place throughout the day with officers targeting organised and violent crime, road safety offences including off-road bikes and carrying out anti-social behaviour patrols.

"We were also looking out for vehicle crime offences and working with partners and businesses to act on retail crime."
