West Midlands Police said it had acted on information in connection with the ‘Frosty Line’, which is understood to have been supplying cocaine and heroin around the Black Country.

Officers from the County Lines Taskforce, with the support of the Operational Support Unit (OSU) and Walsall Serious Organised Crime and Exploitation (SOCEX) team, were involved in raids in Arundel Street in Caldmore and Hawthorne Road in Delves on Thursday morning.

Across the two properties, officers recovered a number of mobile phones suspected of being involved in the co-ordination of supplying drugs and also recovered a machete and substantial amount of cash from one property.

Two men aged 23 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, while one was also held on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, with both taken into custody for questioning.

Detective Sergeant Adam Buzzard, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: “We acted on information in connection to a Class A drugs line which we understand has been operating across Walsall and into other parts of the Black Country.

"Following enquiries we believe a significant number of deals have been conducted via mobile phone exchanges since Spring of this year.

"County Lines networks cause misery within our communities as drugs not only ruin lives, but also fuel other crime.

"We’re continually working alongside other departments and teams within local policing areas to bring down drug lines throughout the West Midlands.

"We’re running Operation Target as part of our work to take drugs off the streets and tackle organised crime."
