West Midlands Police's Sandwell Neighbourhood Crime Team pieced together the incidents and identified him as responsible for the crime spree.

The 39-year-old was arrested towards the end of January and went on to admit more than a dozen offences including robbery, theft and also a burglary in Kidderminster in June last year.

Rollason, of Hagley Road, Harborne, was jailed for six years at Wolverhampton Crown Court last Thursday (July 31).

Sergeant Richard Mander, from the Sandwell Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "Rollason committed a series of crimes and was prepared to put others in fear to take what he wanted.

"We've now managed to ensure he has been taken off the streets and can no longer harm businesses and residents across Sandwell and Dudley.

"It comes as we're taking preventative and enforcement action to address issues of anti-social behaviour, retail and street crime as part #SaferStreetsSummer."
