Two more men charged with 2018 murder in Birmingham

A further two men have been charged with murder after a fatal shooting in the West Midlands more than two years ago.

Fahmi Daahir and Omar Elmi, both 22, are due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court tomorrow charged with the murder of Abdul Rahman Abubaker.

The 24-year-old was shot in Stratford Road, in Birmingham, in May 2018.

Elmi was detained in Scotland last Thursday, while Daahir was arrested earlier the same day in the Nechells area of Birmingham.

Last week, detectives from West Midlands Police also charged Abdirahman Yusef, also 22, with murder after he was brought back to the UK from Sweden on August 4.

A fourth man, Mustafa Omar, aged 20 years old, was also charged with murder following his arrest on August 5, in the Alum Rock area.

Another man, aged 25, has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Yusef appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, while Omar is also due before Birmingham Crown Court tomorrow.
