The council said the delivery of the hub was brought about after public consultation showed a need for better digital support in the Walsall market town.

It has been funded though the Bloxwich Town Deal, where the government allocated £21.3 million to level up the town.

Upstairs, the business incubation centre offers hireable desk space, co-working facilities and hybrid meeting rooms.

It also boasts a makerspace and reprographics room equipped with high quality printing equipment including a 3D printer and mug press for creative enterprises.

The centre is set to open with a programme of support tailored to meet local needs including CV writing and online job applications.

The new facility has partnered with several organisations including WHG, Althaus, DWP, National Careers Service, Urban Hax and Walsall College.

Councillor Adrian Andrew, deputy leader of Walsall Council and portfolio holder for regeneration, said: “Bloxwich Launchpad will be a great asset for local people who need better access to IT equipment and the internet.

“It’s been great to see the former Post Office transformed over the past couple of years and I look forward to opening the doors in the coming weeks.”
