Black Country man dies in Snowdon fall

A man from the Black Country has died after falling a 'significant' distance while walking on Snowdon.
Kenneth Hands, aged 35, from Oldbury, is believed to have been descending a narrow ridge when he fell on the steep and rocky terrain.
Rescuers said Mr Hands was on the mountain in North Wales with two friends, and had been forced back by heavy snow, when he fell to his death on Saturday.
His body was winched aboard a coastguard rescue helicopter from Caernarfon and flown to hospital at Bangor.
He had been descending the narrow Crib Goch ridge – the scene of previous tragedies – when he fell. A post-mortem examination has been held.
A Llanberis mountain rescue team spokesman said: "We don't know why he fell or where but it was a significant fall.
"It had begun snowing quite heavily towards the top of the highest mountain in England and Wales when the walkers decided to turn back."
