Birmingham audiences invited to experience ABBA like never before
The show arrives in Birmingham as part of a nationwide tour
Fans of ABBA, comedy and feel-good entertainment are in for a treat later this month as Flabba bring their hit touring show ‘Thank You For The Muesli’ to Birmingham's Old Joint Stock Theatre.
The larger-than-life tribute act will take to the stage on Friday, June 12, promising an evening packed with classic ABBA hits, audience participation and plenty of laugh-out-loud comedy.
Described as "ABBA like you've never seen them before", Flabba combines soaring vocals, flamboyant costumes and tongue-in-cheek humour to create a unique celebration of one of pop music's most enduring groups.
The show arrives in Birmingham as part of a nationwide tour and serves as a warm-up ahead of the company's appearance at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Audiences can expect energetic performances of beloved songs including Dancing Queen, Super Trouper and other ABBA favourites, all delivered with what the performers describe as a "crunchy twist.”
Organisers say the production is designed to appeal to both dedicated ABBA fans and anyone looking for an uplifting night out.
"Just when you thought ABBA couldn't get any bigger, Flabba bursts onto the stage with bigger harmonies, bolder costumes and pun-delicious comedy," said the show's promoters.
The production has already attracted enthusiastic audience feedback, with previous attendees describing it as "a flabulously camp and glitter-soaked night - pure joy" and "the most fun we've had since the real ABBA.”
The 130-minute performance, including an interval, promises a high-energy mix of music, nostalgia and comedy, celebrating what the group calls "everyBODY" through an unapologetically camp and inclusive show.
