Awards for hairdressers

A hair salon is celebrating after proving it was a cut above the rest at a top awards ceremony.

The Aldridge HC Group, based in High Street, Aldridge, won top salon at the company's annual awards ceremony held in London.

But there are three reasons why owner Nikki Harrison is cheerful.

She is celebrating 25 years in the hairdessing trade and the shop has just won the Investors In People award for the third year running.

Miss Harrison, who has eight staff, said she was delighted at winning the award.

"To win best salon is a fantastic achievement for us and I am proud of my whole team," she said.

"I would like to say a big thank you to all of them.

"They have worked so hard over the last year and thoroughly deserve the recognition. We have also been awarded Investor In People for the second year running and I am celebrating 25 years in the hairdressing trade so there are three reasons to celebrate.

"We try to offer a personal touch by giving our customers drinks and special discounts and this goes hand in hand with the excellent standards we set."
