The roof structure of the new marketplace is now in place - and contractor Speller Metcalfe remains on track to complete the works in June 2026.

More than £8 million is being invested in the redevelopment of Bilston Market after the council provided a £2.5 million uplift to the budget to engineer the design after discovering difficult conditions under the ground.

The new venture will include enhanced stalls, upgraded toilets, a flexible events space and improved public areas and better access.
