Four men stabbed after weapons and vehicle used in Walsall disorder

Police have confirmed four men were injured following disorder involving weapons and a car Walsall last night.

West Midlands Police are appealing for information after four men received stab wounds during disorder in Darlaston on Sunday, March 8 evening.

Emergency services were called just after 9pm to Perry Street after reports of disorder and a collision. Officers responded and found four men with stab wounds. A vehicle had also hit a lamppost.

A man in his 30s and three men in their 20s were taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses to establish exactly what happened.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called shortly after 9pm to reports of a stabbing on Perry Street in Darlaston. 

"Four ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene. 

"Upon arrival we found four male patients. The first and second were assessed and had sustained life-threatening injuries. Both received advanced trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to hospital with medics travelling on board for continued treatment en route. 

"The third man had sustained serious injuries and received advanced trauma care at the scene.

"The fourth man had sustained injuries not believed to be serious and received treatment at the scene. Both were conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
