Teenager set to appear in court charged with murder of 12-year-old Leo Ross in Birmingham
A 15-year-old is appearing in court today charged with the murder of 12-year-old Leo Ross in Birmingham earlier this year.
Leo Ross was fatally stabbed in the stomach while walking home from school in Scribers Lane in Hall Green, Birmingham, on January 21.
The defendant is appearing at Birmingham Crown Court for a plea hearing during which he will either admit or deny murder, three counts of assault, two counts of causing grievous bodily harm and one of unlawfully possessing a knife.

The 15-year-old, who previously on spoke to confirm his name at a hearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court in April.
The teenager was then remanded into custody ahead a of a five-week trial, which is expected to start on 23 June at Coventry Crown Court.
Leo was a pupil at Christ Church C of E Secondary Academy in Yardley Wood, Birmingham, died in hospital after he was stabbed at The Shire Country Park.
His family described him as "an amazing, kind and loving boy".
"Not only has Leo's life been taken, all of our lives have as well. Leo will be truly missed by all of us. He was loved so much by everyone," they added.
