Walsall man charged after drugs investigation carried out

A Walsall man has been charged in connection with the supply of Class A drugs in the Black Country.

Warrants in Walsall were carried out yesterday (Thursday) as part of an investigation under Operation Target into a suspected drugs line.

West Midlands Police have now charged Mohammed Khurshid, aged 23 from Caldmore, with being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

He was remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Friday).

As part of the same investigation, a 23-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon has been bailed while enquiries continue.
