An investigation has been launched following a fatal car fire in the south Staffordshire region.
Staffordshire Police have asked for help in gathering information on a car fire that resulted in the death of a person on Bridgnorth Road, Trescott, near Wolverhampton, at around 10.20am on Saturday.
The force was called to the scene by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service colleagues who were dealing with a vehicle fire.
On arrival, officers closed the roads in both directions while the fire service tackled the blaze, and sadly, upon further investigation of the vehicle, the body of a person was discovered inside.
