Pensioners raved and rocked at the UK's only dedicated festival for over 65's in Wolverhampton
The country's only dedicated music festival for pensioners proved age is just a number in Wolverhampton today.
The Very Important Pensioner Festival at Bantock Park, Wolverhampton, had all ages swinging their pants and rocking n rolling to live music in the historic gardens.
First held in 2022 at Half Penny Airfield, the V.I.P Festival was the brainchild of Kevin "Ralph" Taylor who also wanted to raise money for a disabled lift at the airport's Tower Cafe.
Organised by Dangerous Sheep Events, the V.I.P Festival repeated its success the following year and now is firmly established on the festival circuit with multiple venues including Himley Hall in Dudley.

Ralph said: "We are the UK’s only festival dedicated to Over 65’s. We love outdoor events like today as we watch people walk in a pensioner and walk out a teenager.
"Last week at Himley Park was amazing with so many great artists and today at Bantock Park the crowd were brilliant fun. We have some really exciting announcements coming up in the near future."
The familiar sounds of Rock n Roll's glory years wafted through the Wolverhampton air provided by DJs and live performers.

Joe James Thomas played piano and got the crowd singing a long with him especially when he rolled back the years to perform Jerry Lee Lewis hits.
He said: "Last Saturday I had an amazing time performing for The Black Country Festival which was a bostin' day and this V.I.P Festival has been brilliant too. It was amazing to see so many people enjoying themselves."
