Emergency crews rush to 'water rescue' incident at West Bromwich canal site

Water rescue crews are dealing with an incident at a canal in West Bromwich.

West Midlands Fire Service crews were called to the Balls Hill Branch Canal off New Gas Street in Swan Village shortly before 7.50am on Wednesday (July 16).

West Midlands Police officers have also attended and a police cordon has been set up.

The emergency services were dealing with a "water rescue" matter at the channel which is an arm of the Walsall Canal.
