Motorists warned to expect delays after vehicle breakdown causes congestion on M6 near Birmingham
Motorists heading into Birmingham and the Black Country from the south have been warned to expect delays due to a lane being blocked by a broken down vehicle.
West Midlands Roads put up a post on social media at around 3.16pm to say that a vehicle had broken down on the M6 Northbound between junctions 6 and 7 and had left lane 3 blocked.
It also said that delays were also being seen on the A38M heading out of Birmingham and back as far as junction 5.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "Lane 3 on the M6 Northbound between Junction 6 to Junction 7 is currently blocked due to a broken down vehicle.
"Delays and congestion are all the way back through to Junction 5 and the A38M heading out of city."
