Teenager charged after knife seized in stop-and-search in Dudley town centre
A teenager has been charged with possession of a knife in Dudley town centre.
Police arrested Musa Janjua, who is 19 and from Dudley, after a "combat-style" knife was seized during a stop-and-search on Sunday evening (May 18).
The stop-and-search was carried out in The Inhedge in Dudley - a stone's throw from Dudley Magistrates Court.
West Midlands Police said: "Musa Janjua, aged 19 and from Dudley, has been charged with a possession of a knife. He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today [May 20].
"This is Sceptre week which brings together all 43 police forces across England and Wales for a week of intensified action against knife crime.
