The southbound A449 Stafford Road in Oxley was closed on Tuesday evening (May 20) while emergency service crews responded to the crash near the Gatehouse pub.
An eyewitness told the Express & Star that a white car hit a motorbike at about 6.10pm then sped off.

West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service personnel rushed to the scene and the busy road's southbound carriageway was closed off while they worked to assess and treat the male motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was helped into an ambulance by the paramedics. The carriageway was still shut as of 7.20pm.
