Drivers facing delays after M54 crash results in four miles of congestion
Motorists are facing delays on the M54 motorway near Wolverhampton after a collision this morning.
The incident involving one car happened on the eastbound carriageway between junction three at Cosford and junction two near Wolverhampton at about 7am resulting in four-mile queues after officers halted the traffic to move the vehicle to the hard shoulder.
National Highways posted: "Traffic is currently being held on the #M54 eastbound between J3 #Cosford and J2 near #Wolverhampton following a single vehicle collision. @WMerciaPolice are moving the car to the hard shoulder. Approx. 3 miles of congestion. We'll keep you updated."
In an update just after 7.40am this morning, National Highways said there were delays of more than 30 minutes.
