In response to recent flooding the county council has announced a Flood Recovery Support Grant for businesses and residents who suffered flooding in September, October, November and December. Bewdley is often affected by rising River Severn levels.

Worcestershire County Council’s environment boss Councillor Emma Stokes said: “We have set aside funding to support communities in Worcestershire who have been affected by the floods.

"Together with our district council colleagues, we want to help towns -  across the county, to recover as quickly as they can.”

Residents and businesses known to have been flooded have been informed about the scheme. If you feel you meet the criteria but have not yet been made contact, more details are available on the council's website.

The deadline for applications is January 24.
