Woman injured in Gornal crash

A 38-year-old woman was left badly injured following a collision with a car in Gornal.

The woman suffered injuries to her face, right wrist, abdomen and left leg following the incident at 12.21pm today on Zoar Street.

She was initially treated at Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital, and then sent to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

West Midlands Ambulance spokesman, Murray MacGregor said: "It was a 38-year-old lady in a collision with a black car. It was not high speed, but it resulted on the passenger-side wing mirror being taken off, and windscreen damage.

"Two ambulances attended. The woman was initially taken to the trauma unit at Russells Hall Hospital, and then the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
