Halesowen power cut hits 3,600 homes

More than 3,600 homes in Halesowen were left without electricity due to an underground cable fault.

The power went off at around 3.20pm today with 3,650 properties in the town affected.

Officials from Western Power Distribution said the supply had been restored to 3,200 homes within 20 minutes.

More than 400 customers are still without electricity at the moment.

Power was restored by 6pm.
